Supporting Vulnerable Adults

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE RESIDENTS West Dunbartonshire Council Crisis Support Team

West Dunbartonshire Council are working hard to help and protect the most vulnerable members of our community, and a number of Council employees have volunteered their time to provide additional support.

This means the Council can offer communities help with practical tasks including collecting and delivering essential groceries or medicines; walking pets or being a friendly and reassuring

voice at the end of the telephone.
The Council can help if you have no support network. This will include those who are:

  •   Self isolating

  •   Over the age of 70

  •   In receipt of a letter from the NHS advising you are high risk

  •   Medically vulnerable according to the government criteria

  •   Single parents

If you need extra support, or know anyone else in the community that needs support, you can submit a referral online to the Crisis Support Team via West Dunbartonshire Council’s website:

Alternatively, you can text the word ‘help’ to 07800 002 582
A member of the Support Team will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss how they

can assist you.
You can also contact the staff at Faifley Housing Association who will be happy to help.
